Natural Agate is a variety of banded Chalcedony, prized throughout history for its beautiful colors and patterns. It has been called the Earth Rainbow due to its concentric bands displaying virtually every color the earth can produce. This Agate exhibits orange to golden to milky white tones in its parallel banding. Agate has been discovered with artifacts from cultures of the Neolithic Period, also known as the Stone Age, occuring 10,000 years ago.
